Ana O’Farrill, Head of Chairman’s Office, Rio Tint

Ana has over twenty years of experience in the fields of finance, strategy and mining. Ana started her career in Corporate & Investment Banking in Brazil, having worked for large groups, such as Bradesco, Citibank and Santander. 

In 2011, she joined Rio Tinto, and held various roles across Australia, Europe and Canada, mainly focused on commercial, strategy and M&A, with projects executed globally. 

From 2020 to 2022, Ana led the Brazil office, as Country Manager, and served on the Board of joint ventures and associations. She is now based in London, acting as Business Executive to the Rio Tinto Chairman. 

Ana holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from PUC-SP and Executive Master’s degrees in Strategy and Management of International Business (SMIB) from ESSEC–Paris and in Environment and Sustainability from FGV-SP.
