Sophie Zurquiyah is an accomplished leader with over 30 years of experience in the oilfield services industry. She has successfully led large global organisations throughout her career. In 2013, she joined Viridien as the Senior Executive Vice President of the Geology Geophysics Reservoir segment. After serving as Chief Operating Officer, she became the Group Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Sophie's journey in the oil and gas industry started in 1991 when she joined SLB as a geophysics engineer. She then held several positions in R&D, Operations, and Support across France, the US, and Brazil. In France, she served as Human Resources Director for Oilfield Services and Chief Information Officer responsible for global information systems and IT services between 2007 and 2009. She is a non-executive director at TechnipFMC and a member of the Audit Committee since 2021.
Sophie graduated from Ecole Centrale de Paris and holds a Master's in Numerical Analysis from Pierre et Marie Curie University and a Master's in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado.
