Robert Wilt is the Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma'aden). Robert's role is to govern and lead Saudi Arabia's national mining champion--including mineral exploration, development, and production—towards Ma'aden's goal to grow 8-10x by 2040 and leverage the Kingdom's estimated $1.3 trillion mineral endowment.

Ma'aden has assets of around SAR 98 billion ($26.1 billion) and a broad commodity focus spanning gold, zinc, low-grade bauxite, phosphate, aluminum and industrial metals, The company operates 17 mines and sites, has 5,700+ direct employees, and exports products to over 22 countries, Between February 2020 and January 2022, Robert was President and CEO of Sofina Foods, one of Canada's largest food processing companies with a global footprint that includes over 13,000 employees at 44 sites. Prior to joining Sofina, Robert had an extensive career leading industrial companies in complex global environments.

He was the former President of the Metals Group at Precision Castparts Corporation, a Berkshire Hathaway company, where he managed two subsidiary aerospace and industrial companies with a combined total global revenue of $2.5 billion.

Prior to this, Robert spent 17 years at Alcoa, culminating as Executive Vice President and President of its Global Primary Products business. As such, he was accountable for the world's largest bauxite mining and alumina refining system, and third largest smelting system.

Robert began his career in the U.S. Army. He served as a combat engineer officer in the 101st Airborne Division, and he is a veteran of the first Iraq war. His military qualifications include Airborne, Air Assault, Sapper Leader, and Master Fitness Trainer. After the Army, Robert provided program management consulting services to the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, with emphasis on marketing, operations, logistics and security. 

Robert holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree in Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.
