David Awram co-founded Sandstorm Gold Royalties in 2008. Through his contributions to capital raises, technical due diligence, and corporate development, David has been instrumental in growing Sandstorm from a start-up to one of the largest royalty companies in the world. Before starting Sandstorm, David served as Director of Investor Relations at Wheaton Precious Metals (formerly Silver Wheaton) where his role included corporate development and investor relations during Silver Wheaton’s dramatic growth into a multi-billion dollar company.

In his role at Sandstorm, David brings a wealth of experience to every acquisition at Sandstorm. He has been involved in billions of dollars worth of royalty financings and has evaluated hundreds of resource projects, including on-site due diligence at mines all over the world. David is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology.
