FMF is the only international platform driven from Saudi Arabia to unite governments, investors, and innovators to secure the minerals essential for a sustainable, tech-enabled future. It’s not just where deals are made—it’s where a new era of development, prosperity, and stability begins.
Phoenix Geophysics (Toronto, Canada, est. 1975) is the world leader in MT (magnetotelluric) geophysical instrumentation since 1980.
Thousands of systems have been sold to >100 countries. MT is a key technique in mining exploration not only because of the wide depth of exploration (surface to 100km) but also because it responds directly to the most characteristic physical property of metallic ore deposits : conductivity. Phoenix 4th generation Ultra-wideband (UMT) equipment is now playing a key role in critical minerals exploration in Saudi Arabia and other countries. Phoenix UMT maps mineral systems at crustal scale (20-50km spacing) and district scale (2-5 km spacing). Detailed UMT surveys (100m – 500m spacing) provide high-resolution 3D images of metallic deposits including VMS, IOCG, magmatic nickel, orogenic gold, and porphyry copper. Phoenix pioneering MT accomplishments include detection of the 1750m deep “Trillabelle” nickel deposit in 1993 (and its associated high-phase or PROQ anomaly). The Trillabelle survey catalyzed the entire subsequent growth of MT for mining exploration. Phoenix has recently developed specialized accessories for use in high-noise brownfield environments.
